Swap with Bijinblair! ♥ ♥ ♥

There is one thing we like more than beauty products and that is food. You would probably already know that if you follow us on Instagram (helloooo foodporn!). When we did a swap with the lovely Blair we asked for snacks instead of beauty products and this what she sent us.

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!

I pretty much have already tried everything and the 'Meiji' Strawberry Chocolate is definitely my favourite! Nom nom nom ~

And of course she had to throw in a few beauty bits in as well because we are beauty bloggers after all. Thank you so much for everything! We will defintely enjoy devouring all these yummy snacks!

*Cookiie; Pasta Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing (recipe)

The first recipe on the blog! I thought I should start with an easy but very delicious one that I tried for the first time at a friend's place (Thanks Roxanne! ). I liked it so much that I asked for the recipe, so here it is!

No quantities this time, because it really just depends on how much you want to eat. You can make this for lunch or dinner (of if you're like me, this can work as a breakfast as well ) so depending on what kind of meal it is, you can adjust the amount to your liking.

The salad

Any kind of pasta (I used a shell pasta/conchigliette, but any will do just fine)
Bacon bits
Cherry tomatoes
Parmesan cheese flakes
Rucola
Pine nuts, toasted or roasted (optional)

First start off with cooking the pasta. It usually says on the box how long you need to cook it for it to be al dente; in my case it was about 7 minutes. When it's cooked properly, pour out the water and rinse the pasta with cold water. After rinsing, use a strainer to get rid of the excess water. You want the pasta cooled and dry, so that the rucola that you are adding later won't get all soggy.

While you are waiting for the pasta to be ready, you now have a little bit of time to prepare the bacon bits, cherry tomatoes and pine nuts if you like them. No instructions for these, because I think it is pretty self-explanatory. Just make sure to get rid of the oil that comes out of the bacon so that the salad won't get too oily.

One last preperation before mixing it all up: the dressing!

Honey mustard dressing

Mustard
Honey
Mayonaise
Vinegar

There are no quantities set for this one either, because I always just guess the ratio. I would say two tablespoons of mustard with one teaspoon of honey would be about right to get the taste I want: not too sharp and pungent but not so sweet either. Add a little mayonaise for a nice colour and to give the dressing a little extra (Not too sure how to describe it, but you will get it when you try it out). Lastly, add a few drops of vinegar to thin it out into a refreshing salad dressing.

The final step: mix it all up! First the dressing with the pasta, and then the rest with the rucola last.

Pretty easy right? I can make this salad within 15 minutes and it's so good yet so healthy. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

*Cookiie; DHC eyelash tonic & bibimbap?

Since the beginning of this month of February, I've started using the DHC Eyelash Tonic to see if it'll grow me some more eyelashes and lengthen the already existing ones. My lashes are really sparse and short and I've had trouble curling them or finding a mascara that will actually be effective on them (I don't have that problem anymore, since they have grown a bit and I've found some really good products to curl them effectively). I've tried a different eyelash enhancing serum (click here for picture) before, but even though it was somewhat thickening and lengthening my lashes, my eyelashes seemed to fall off a lot. I'm not sure if it was due to that serum, but it wasn't helping much if my lashes keep falling off, so I stopped using it. However, the DHC Eyelash Tonic has been raved about by many users, so I decided to try it out.

The packaging.

I bought mine at Ebay for US$11.80 from the seller ct_taiwan, which was the cheapest price I could find online. I was going to buy this at Sasa.com since I was afraid of buying a fake one, but when it was in stock again I didn't really have much to buy and I didn't want to pay US$18 shipping for it.

The product; it is a slightly thick oily serum, just thick enough to prevent the product from being all messy on the eyes.

It has a brush as the applicator; make sure the wand is straight, because there's a fake one out there with a curved wand.

I'll keep you guys updated with pictures to see if there will be any differences after some time. The pictures below are made before the treatment and 4 days after the treatment, since I figured I should make more pictures of different angles to compare.

The only thing I was wondering is how often do you guys want me to update about it? As I've already started seeing results even after the 4 days (even though it's not much), I think updating every 2 weeks would be fair. But if you guys want me to update more often, do let me know. :)

And now something totally random! Just because I thought it was quite a succes for the 1st time cooking bibimbap on my own, I thought I'd show you guys it, haha. Yeah, I could've made it neater, but I'm quite a cook rookie. Oh well, at least it tasted good! ♥

*cookiie; what's that cute thing trapped in a plastic bag?

It's actually a kangaroo shaped marzipan!

The right eye and nose were crushed because I accidentally dropped it. :(

I just felt like showing you guys it 'cause I found (Yes, past tense because I already ate it :x) it so cute~ My Latin teacher gave it to all his Latin students, probably because it was Sinterklaasfeest. 'Sinterklaasfeest' is a traditional holiday in some countries that is somewhat similar to the modern Christmas. Sinterklaas is a character that is very similar to Santa Claus because it's also his birthday and he's giving all kids presents. I don't know why my teacher custom ordered kangaroos though, since it has nothing to do with Sinterklaas.

I got a haircut today and I'm having some mixed feelings about it. My hair has some more texture in it now and it's not as flat as before. However, I thought it was clear that I agreed on letting 5 cm/2 inches being cut, but somehow it turned out to be about 15 cm/6 inches. I'm feeling so naked right now.

So much shorter ~ ;A; Sorry for the quality of the pictures, it's taken with Milk's phone

I'll update something beauty-related again very soon, and here's a teaser for now.

Can anyone tell what I'm going to write about with just this picture?
